COME my tan-faced children, Follow well in order, get your weapons ready, Have you your pistols? have you your sharp-edged axes? Pioneers! O pioneers!
Don’t forgot to love. Above all else.
Shot a wedding on Lanikai beach yesterday for someone who lives in my hometown of Hastings, Nebraska.
Anxiously awaiting for June for my best friend and recent fashion design graduate Becca Lanka to be sitting on the beach with me drinking mimosa’s.
My brother from Houston is coming back to Hawaii in July to spend his birthday week here!!!!
And my other brother, Nick, is preparing to move here by August to live with Ryan and I and experience a whole new world of life in Hawaii.
Ryan recently got accepted into Hawaii Pacific University to get fast tracked through classes to earn a Bachelors Degree so he can teach at the college!
Also, things are going quite well for him and his partner, Kai as they continue to bring in lots of work for their new Creative Experience company, AD/M (http://adm.cx).
I am still spending most of my time at Morning Brew, the cafe I co-manage along with my lovely friend, Rosie…working for the best boss in the world, Peter Anderson. We just had another successful art show raising money for Japan.
I have recently decided not to give up being a photographer…I want part of that life back…baby steps right now. First, must buy a computer.
Ryan and I will be moving out of Lanikai soon…even though I get called “the loop lady” for the abnormal amount of time I spend running and walking the loop…I know Lanikai will miss me.;)
I miss traveling…itching to make a trip soon. Tentatively planning to be back to Nebraska by August…fingers crossed. Also hoping to make it to LA, Portland and Phoenix at some point this year.
I have been sick for 3 days and today lost my voice. Greaaattt.
Ryan and I will be celebrating our one year anniversary on July 3rd. Blows my mind its been that long already…feels like just yesterday. Pretty soon we will have 3 unruly children and I will be turning 30 and wondering what happened to the last 6 years. Just kidding. No kids yet anyway.;)
I’ve read 6 books in this month alone. I am now not knowing what to read next…recommendations?
I got into my first car accident (besides that one time when I was 15 and went into the ditch…over and over and over…..I know some of you remember that time) last week in Chinatown…no worries, it was barely a scratch. And my insurance company called today to tell me not to worry about a thing. Ha! Also, he told me thanks for being the best customer ever….wouldn’t I only be the best customer if I hadn’t had an accident at all? I have a feeling I’m not the only person he has sweet talked over the phone regarding such matters.
Ryan and I are on the hunt for our next place to live…and this time, with a kitchen. For the first time in 3 years I may have a kitchen!!! This is very exciting!!!
I am so happy.. I love my husband more than words could say…and I love Hawaii. So thankful.
